About
Our Heritage
Camp Hydaway is located atop Candler’s Mountain. This beautiful facility has served as a children’s camp for many years. The camp features breathtaking views including the Hydaway Lake, mountain trails, air-conditioned cabins, and recreation areas. Camp Hydaway features a zipline (an overnight camp activity for completed 5th graders), canoes, water toys, game rooms and freshly groomed nature trails.
Most importantly, Camp Hydaway has an amazing staff of people who love kids—people who want to make a lasting, positive impression on every child they serve. The love of Christ is evident in the daily walks of the counselors, and this makes a strong and lasting impact on the relationships built with their team and counselors.

What kind of discipleship will happen at camp?
Our goal at Camp Hydaway is to develop Christ followers who love God and love people through sports and outdoor activities. We do this by hiring the best high school and college-age counselors who are devoted to their relationship with Jesus and want to share the gospel with the next generation. Morning Celebration, Devo time, and Keynote are our three intentional large/small group discipleship elements. Each day, each activity, we engage kids in conversations about the truth of who God is, and how much He loves them.
